Cold-chain fleet procurement
4x2 refrigerated van truck factory sourcing
Find candidate original manufacturers with a brief that describes your chilled or frozen delivery duty. ColdVan Fleet Source is an independent sourcing partner for business buyers, independent of vehicle manufacturing and dealership operations.

Different deliveries need different briefs
Multi-stop chilled distribution
Describe stop frequency, door-opening duration and loading practices. Ask candidate factories to explain the refrigeration selection at your stated ambient conditions, rather than treating a nominal temperature setting as evidence of loaded-route performance.
Frozen regional transport
Provide cargo temperature on loading, trip length, insulation requirements and the need for standby power. A larger box may accommodate more pallets while reducing available payload; compare body mass, GVWR and axle loading together.
Fleet replacement orders
Record the vehicle count by body length, wheelbase and refrigeration configuration. Specify the receiving port or state and the documents your destination advisers require before a candidate supplier prepares a quotation.
Four decisions before supplier outreach
Duty
Give the route, cargo type, loading temperature and ambient extremes. Include loading-bay height, urban access and overnight parking arrangements.
Configuration
Request body dimensions, wheelbase, powertrain and refrigeration power source. Distinguish chassis ratings from the completed vehicle's usable carrying capacity.
Quantity
State units for each configuration and identify whether a pilot vehicle or inspection before a fleet order is needed. MOQ remains supplier-specific.
Destination
Name the state or port, requested delivery window and trade basis. Separate vehicle pricing from inspection, freight, duty and destination-side services.
Start with the questions that change the quote
Bring the route, the cargo and the delivery brief
Include vehicle quantity, destination and ratings to verify. A specification sheet or reference link can help identify unanswered details; read the Buyer Guide or review vehicle inquiry options.
